Solar PV consultancy

Commercial solar PV feasibility, from first look to delivery.

Independent solar PV advice for commercial and public sector sites across the UK: rooftop, carport and ground-mount, from feasibility and business case to procurement and delivery.

Independent advice

Solar that works on paper and on site.

Commercial solar can cut energy costs for decades, but only if the system is sized to how your site actually uses electricity, the roof or land can take it, and the grid connection allows it. Installer proposals rarely test all three.

Our team has overseen the construction of more than 100 MW of solar, from 10 kW commercial roofs to 50 MW installations. We use that experience to tell you what’s viable, what it’s worth and how to buy it well.

What you get

  • A feasibility report covering site constraints, system size and expected yield
  • A financial model comparing capital purchase, PPA and lease
  • A grid connection and export assessment
  • A procurement specification and support through the tender
  • Independent reviews of installer proposals, and oversight through delivery

How we help

Feasibility

Available space, roof or land constraints, your demand profile, yield and grid considerations.

Commercial modelling

Capital purchase, PPA and lease compared on the same assumptions, with payback, IRR and sensitivities.

Procurement

Specifications, tender support, proposal reviews and help choosing the right installer.

Delivery oversight

Managing risk from approval through installation, commissioning and handover.

Frequently asked questions

How much can commercial solar save?

It depends on how much of the generation you use on site, what you pay for electricity and what the system costs. Sites that use most of their power during daylight hours usually see the best returns. Our free energy review gives you an early estimate based on your own bills.

Should we buy the system or use a solar PPA?

Buying usually gives the best long-term return if you have the capital. A PPA or lease needs no upfront investment but shares the savings with a funder. We model the options side by side so you can compare them on the same assumptions.

Is our roof suitable for solar?

Roof condition and remaining life, structural capacity, orientation, shading, access and the building's lease and insurance position all matter. We check these early so you don't pay for design work on a roof that can't take panels.

Do you need our half-hourly data?

It makes the modelling much more accurate, because it shows how much of the solar you would use on site, hour by hour. Bills are enough to get started with the free review.

Do you install solar?

No. We're independent advisers. We help you specify, procure and oversee the work; installation is carried out by contractors you appoint. If we introduce a supplier and would receive a referral fee, we tell you before you decide.

Is solar worth it on your site?

Send us your bills and we'll come back with a short written summary, including an early view on solar.
