Community energy

Independent technical and commercial support for community energy projects.

We help community energy groups take solar, battery storage and other renewable projects from first idea to a working system: feasibility, business cases, host agreements, procurement and delivery.

Independent advice

Professional support, sized for community projects.

Community energy groups often run on volunteer time and need to get technical and commercial decisions right first time. The numbers have to work for members, for the host site and for funders.

We bring the same independent feasibility, modelling and procurement experience we use with commercial and public sector clients, without a product to sell.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with small community groups?

Yes. We scale the work to the project, from a single rooftop on a community building to larger multi-site schemes.

Can your financial model support a share offer?

Yes. We build the financial model and business case a share offer or funding application relies on, with the assumptions set out clearly so members and funders can check them.

Can you help us agree terms with a host site?

Yes. We help you structure the roof or land lease and the power purchase agreement so the project works for both the group and the host. Your solicitor drafts the legal agreements.

Do you install the systems?

No. We're independent advisers. We help you specify, procure and oversee the work; installation is carried out by contractors you appoint. If we introduce a supplier and would receive a referral fee, we tell you before you decide.
