Asset Adoption Value: the grid connection payment most clients never see.

When an IDNO adopts your new connection it pays for the assets. Make sure that money comes to you.

If your project needs a new grid connection, there may be money on the table that you've never been told about.

What is Asset Adoption Value?

When an independent distribution network operator (IDNO) takes over (adopts) the new electrical infrastructure built for a grid connection, it makes a payment for those assets. This is the Asset Adoption Value (AAV). It's paid as a rebate: a lump sum when the connection is energised. It can offset a large share of the cost of the connection.

Who gets it?

The AAV can be paid to the independent connection provider (ICP) building the grid connection, to the project owner, or to both. Most clients have never heard of it. Sometimes the ICP's contract quietly gives it the AAV; sometimes the client simply isn't told it exists. Either way, the client pays for the connection and someone else keeps the rebate.

How we make sure it comes to you

When we recommend the IDNO route, we help structure the contracts so the AAV is paid to you, not the ICP.
