Property developers

Low-carbon technology advice for property developers.

Independent advice on solar, battery storage, heat pumps and EV charging for new-build and refurbishment schemes, from early design through procurement and delivery.

Independent advice

Make low-carbon decisions early, and get them right.

Solar, heat pumps, battery storage and EV charging are now expected on most commercial schemes. Getting them right affects roof and plant space, the electrical design, the grid connection and the build programme.

We bring practical experience of designing, procuring and building these systems. We help your team choose the right technologies, size them sensibly and buy them well, so they work on day one and don’t cause problems later.

How we help

Early options

Which technologies suit the scheme, what they cost and what they need from the design, before layouts are fixed.

Sizing and grid

Realistic solar, battery, heat pump and EV loads, and what they mean for your grid connection.

Costs and value

Capital costs, running costs and how the systems affect the value and appeal of the finished building.

Procurement and delivery

Specifications, tender support, proposal reviews and oversight through to commissioning and handover.

Frequently asked questions

Do you produce Part L calculations or planning energy statements?

No. We focus on technology choices, sizing, costs, grid and procurement. We work alongside your M&E engineer or energy assessor, who produces the compliance documents.

When should we involve you?

As early as possible. Decisions about roof space, plant rooms, electrical capacity and the grid connection are far cheaper to get right at design stage than to fix later.

Can you help with grid capacity?

Yes. Heat pumps, EV charging and batteries all change the load on a site. We assess what the scheme will need and how solar and storage can reduce peak demand, so the connection is sized properly.

Do you install the systems?

No. We're independent advisers. We help you specify, procure and oversee the work; installation is carried out by contractors you appoint. If we introduce a supplier and would receive a referral fee, we tell you before you decide.
